Sikeston

January 19th

I already wrote an email today, but I didn't get to write much. So here is the better letter.

I'm living in a small town called Sikeston. It's the farthest south area in our mission. I am in an apartment with just Elder Harmon. It's a two-bedroom apartment, but missionaires have to sleep in the same room, so the second one is our workout room. We have a big white board in our living room with all our investigator's names and the less actives and recent converts. We have maps of our area, Sikeston, and of the whole Stake. We just went shopping today so now there is some food in this house for me. Anyway, we live at the Virginia Pine Apartments.

I've already got a baptism date set! Last Friday, a guy we've been teaching committed to be baptized on the 21st! So that will be cool. I also gave my companion a blessing today. First one ever. I was extremely nervous! AND, I gave it with the bishop there. Then we went to a men's clothing store and I bought this sweet tie . . . it really is pretty (green and white.) I'll have to take a picture and show it to you.

Anyway, the whole mission got rebuked a couple of months ago, so now as punishment everyone has to sleep in their proselyting clothes (white shirt, tie, slacks and belt). It's really not that cool, so I hope they stop that soon.
