Okay, well I guess I can tell you about my apartment. I was actually gonna do that when I sent my pictures home, but I just don't really take any pictures. I have only taken about 15 since the last ones. So anyway . . . we live in apartment A4, on the 2nd floor. The front room is the kitchen table (which is actually the exact same table in the bishop's office, just without the glass top). It's also my study area. I have a crappy desk to study at, but I don't use it so I just sit on the couch and study. When I first got there we were having cockroach issues in the kitchen, so Gordon and I bought some roach traps and some spray, and we really haven't seen too many since. The bug man (who comes once a month) says that's the problem with living in apartments. I guess one of our neighbors has a really nasty house so we had roaches because of them. I know which apartment it is. They live right below us.
Anyway, I hated the bathroom until recently because the water heater wasn't working very good and the shower got cold really fast. I guess I learned how to use it right cuz I can shower as long as I want to now. We have a spare bedroom where we keep all the weights and stuff . . . our workout room. Nothing too special about the bedroom . . . . just a couple of beds and Gordon's desk.
The weather has been pretty good these days. I have a long sleeved shirt on today, but I had to roll the sleeves up. I'm really happy about that. I hate the cold! We are in Poplar Bluff today on team-ups with the Bluff elders, so I get to hang out with Powell again!
I didn't know Kyle was raising a hog this year. That kid is all over the agriculture thing! He's gonna end up being a farmer . . . not that there is anything wrong with that. Farmers are buff! lol I really wish I would have not been lazy and sent out those buyers letters. You really make so much more money if you can get people looking to buy from you. Everybody there probably got at least one letter so they probably aren't really looking at your hog.
Just so you know mom, the First Vision is something that even the greenest missionary can quote by heart. They teach it to you in the MTC so I could do that, but I really don't want to give baptism talks even though they are so short.
So . . . there is this guy in my ward. He is less active but he is a good guy. We went over there the other day and he is actually an ex Marine. So we were talking about something and Gordon told him that I was thinking about going into the Marines and they got all excited and they were like, "What do you want to be?" So I told them I want to be a scout sniper and then they got even more excited cuz that's what he was. Force Recon Scout Sniper. So we got to talking about that and other things, but he got me really excited to go into the Marines. So I really think that is something I want to do when I get home. We ended up being at their house for four hours without realizing it. Then we helped him clean up his yard cuz he was moving and he told me I would make a good Marine and that if he can do it, anyone can. So I really like that guy. He's gonna have us over for a BBQ soon. :)
Anyway, that's all I've got for this week. I love all of you! I'll talk to you later.
